You may not need a big heavy flightcase, but do want to protect your amps and cabinets from the worst of knocks and scrapes in the back of the van, and keep the pouring rain off them. Bryn Towns' company has just the thing, really well made, rugged exterior with a dense protective inside lining - not the thin vinyl wrapper that comes with some amps. Custom covers are also made at very reasonable cost. And if you have one of Marc's beautiful mahogany cabs, you will want one made for it!
The August 2007 issue of the magazine carried a group review of the major manufacturers of pedal cases. Stompcase was well received and judged to be 'excellent', although unfortunately readers were accidentally directed to the Behringer website! This was corrected in the September issue, so hopefully more folk will now find their way here.
This was another good event for us, and many more people were pleased to discuss stompcase with us in person, having only previously seen it on this site.
You have a stompcase, and Steve has fixed your amp, so what more do you need to give your sound a really special edge? A classy solid mahogany speaker cabinet from Mongotone could be the answer. These really do project the tone with clarity and punch, so that you can hear yourself in the mix with the rest of the band - without actually being any louder. Have a look at this site, and believe what Marc says there - it's all true!
Music Live in early November 06 was a successful event for us- we had a small booth near the Roland stand and generated a lot of interest. As we are not selling through the retail trade, many people had the opportunity to see the advantages stompcase can offer.
Guitarist Magazine saw stompcase on our stand at MusicLive in November, and asked for one to review - this can be seen in the March 2007 issue, No. 287
Here's a band with a great name - go to their site and download some free music. We like the songs too!
This is a great magazine aimed at people, amateur and professional, who go out there and perform, whether on stage or at the local pub. They carried a review of stompcase in the December 07 issue, and some of the valid comments made have already lead to improvements in more recent build. Have a look at the 'review' page, where you can download the article.
Whether or not you have a stompcase, there are times when your amplifier is not giving of its best. If that's the case, then Steve at S.A. Ampworks is your man. A lifetime of experience in valve amps, AC30's a speciality, and a wealth of background knowledge in the industry to boot. Got a problem? Look at this site and give Steve a call!
